Today, Rep. Vince Fong (CA-20) introduced the Making Advancements in Commercial Hypersonics (MACH) Act with Rep. Kevin Mullin (CA-15). This legislation authorizes the establishment of the MACH Program at NASA, which allows NASA to support scientific experiments through high-speed flights with commercial hypersonics companies.
Today, Rep. Vince Fong (CA-20) introduced the bipartisan ACERO Act with Rep. Jennifer McClellan (VA-04). This legislation authorizes NASA’s Advanced Capabilities for Emergency Response Operations (ACERO) project, which is focused on using drones to fight wildfires, including in low-visibility conditions where manned aircraft cannot be used.
The B.F. Sisk Dam Raise and Reservoir Expansion Project and the Sites Reservoir Project received federal funding for enhanced storage capacity, which will provide greater reliability to California’s water supply.
