Art Competition
Each spring, the Congressional Institute sponsors a nationwide high school visual art competition to recognize and encourage artistic talent in the nation as well as in each congressional district. Since the Artistic Discovery competition began in 1982, more than 650,000 high school students have participated.
This competition is open to all high school students in California’s 20th Congressional District. The winning artwork from our district’s competition will have the honor of being displayed for one year in the United States Capitol.
Congressman Fong will host a local reception for local participants and their families. The overall winner will be recognized as well as winners selected in three categories, photography, computer generated art and all other media.
