WASHINGTON, D.C. – Last night, Congressman Vince Fong (CA-20) voted to advance the Defense Appropriations Act, 2026, which provides $831.5 billion in essential funding to support our nation by investing in America’s military superiority, protecting from threats at our nation’s border, and taking care of our troops and their families. Importantly, this legislation provides a 3.8% basic pay raise for all military personnel and continues historic pay raises enacted in fiscal year 2025 for junior enlisted servicemembers.

Thanks to his advocacy, the U.S. Department of Transportation unlocked $98.04 million in federal Infrastructure for Rebuilding America (INFRA) funding and the California Transportation Commission (CTC) approved $62.67 million in competitive funding from the Trade Corridor Enhancement Program to advance this transformative development.
