Congressman Vince Fong (CA-20) is inviting high students within California’s 20th Congressional District to compete in the 2025 Annual “An Artistic Discovery” Congressional Art Competition.

“Tonight, we welcomed President Trump back to the House floor, where he outlined his common sense vision to address the challenges and secure the opportunities of our great nation.
Rep. Vince Fong (CA-20) lauded the Bureau of Reclamation’s commitment to further maximize California’s water supply, in line with President Trump’s Executive Order 14181 which Fong supported. As part of this effort, $315.5 million will be invested to develop new water storage at the future Sites Reservoir and expand capacity at the existing San Luis Reservoir.
Rep. Vince Fong (CA-20) is now accepting internship applications for summer 2025. Students selected for the internship will learn about working in Congress, responding to constituent needs, writing legislation, and understanding California’s 20th Congressional District. Interns have the opportunity to work directly with Rep. Fong and his staff on important issues concerning the district and the issues of the day in our nation’s capital.
Today, Rep. Vince Fong (CA-20) introduced the bipartisan Accelerating Networking, Cyberinfrastructure, and Hardware for Oceanic Research (ANCHOR) Act with Rep. Haley Stevens (MI-11). This legislation would help facilitate cybersecurity and telecommunications upgrades for the U.S. Academic Research Fleet by requiring the National Science Foundation to develop a plan for improvement.

Today, the House of Representatives with Rep. Vince Fong’s (CA-20) support, passed the Protecting American Energy Production Act (H.R. 26). This legislation prevents any President from unilaterally banning hydraulic fracturing. The Protecting American Energy Production Act passed the House by a vote of 226-188.
Today, Rep. Vince Fong (CA-20) spoke in support of the Halt All Lethal Trafficking of Fentanyl Act (HALT Fentanyl Act), emphasizing the importance of stopping the drug crisis in America, saving lives from being lost to fentanyl, and supporting our local, state, and national law enforcement. This legislation (H.R. 27) would classify fentanyl-related substances as Schedule I controlled substances, which are highly addictive drugs with no medical use. Soon after Rep. Fong’s remarks, the HALT Fentanyl Act passed the House by a vote of 312-108.
Rep. Vince Fong (CA-20) was appointed to two important subcommittees in the Committee on Science, Space, and Technology for the 119th Congress. His subcommittee assignments are as follows: Space and Aeronautics Subcommittee; and Research and Technology Subcommittee.
