WASHINGTON, D.C. — Today, the U.S. House of Representatives unanimously passed Congressman Vince Fong’s (CA-20) H.R. 390: The Advanced Capabilities for Emergency Response Operations (ACERO) Act. This bipartisan legislation, which now heads to the Senate for consideration, would help develop the use of advanced, unmanned aircraft technology to improve aerial responses to wildfires, including in low-visibility conditions when manned aircraft are unable to mobilize.
