Rep. Vince Fong Joins House Republicans in Continued Push for More Stable California Water Supplies

Today, Rep. Vince Fong (CA-20) joined a field hearing in Santa Nella, California titled “Water Abundance: Opportunities and Challenges in California.” The field hearing was hosted by the House Natural Resources Subcommittee on Water, Wildlife and Fisheries Chairman Cliff Bentz (OR-02) and Rep. John Duarte (CA-13). Rep. Fong was also joined by colleagues Rep. Doug LaMalfa (CA-01), Rep. Tom McClintock (CA-05), and Rep. David Valadao (CA-22).
“After speaking with local experts today, it is imperative that we continue to build more water storage and undo the restrictions being pushed by the Biden-Harris Administration that threaten our region’s water supplies. Critical water supplies are already being artificially restricted due to the harmful state and federal policies that are driven by unsound science. My colleagues and I continue to work to stop unnecessary regulations that make water availability even worse in our state. We also continue to push to build more water storage and conveyance infrastructure to move more water throughout the Central Valley. Water is life and stable water supplies are vital for our economic well-being as well as for our national food supply.”
