Rep. Vince Fong Appointed to Transportation & Infrastructure Subcommittees
This week, Rep. Vince Fong (CA-20) was appointed to three important subcommittees in the Committee on Transportation and Infrastructure for the 119th Congress. His subcommittee assignments are as follows: Highways and Transit Subcommittee; Railroads, Pipelines, and Hazardous Materials Subcommittee; and Water Resources and Environment Subcommittee.
“I would like to thank Chairman Graves for appointing me to these three subcommittees, which will be at the forefront of working with President Trump and his Department of Transportation to strengthen our supply chain, not only in California’s 20th District, but for the entire nation,” said Rep. Fong. “Specifically, these subcommittees will soon begin work on a new highway bill, water resources and infrastructure legislation, and improving the pipeline and rail infrastructure so we can continue to move goods throughout the Central Valley, making it easier for our farms and communities to access markets across the nation and globe. I look forward to working together to help Americans have improved and reliable transportation and infrastructure across the country.”
“Congressman Fong has been a valued member of T&I since joining the Committee in 2024,” said Rep. Sam Graves (MO-06), Chairman of the Committee on Transportation and Infrastructure. “During the 119th Congress, Rep. Fong will serve on three of our subcommittees, all of which be developing critical legislation in the next two years. As a Member of these subcommittees, Congressman Fong will provide key contributions to major legislation that will fund highway and bridge projects nationwide, work on reauthorizing federal pipeline safety programs, and help craft the next bill focused on improving our ports and waterways, flood protection, and other water resources infrastructure. I look forward to his input on these priorities and the rest of T&I's agenda as we work to strengthen America's transportation systems and infrastructure.”
