Congressman Fong Pays Tribute to Fallen Heroes in Honor of Memorial Day

CENTRAL VALLEY, Calif. – This weekend, Congressman Vince Fong (CA-20) paid tribute to our nation’s fallen heroes in honor of Memorial Day. He participated in a series of ceremonies at Bakersfield National Cemetery, Historic Union Cemetery, and Hillcrest Memorial Park. 

“This Memorial Day weekend, our community gathered to honor the memory of those who gave everything in defense of this nation,” said Congressman Fong. “Our cemeteries are not just places of rest, but grounds for remembrance, reverence, and reflection. Today, we pause to remember the price of peace. A reminder that freedom isn’t free. May God bless our fallen heroes. May He comfort their families. And may He continue to bless the United States of America.”
