Rep. Fong Recognizes Aerospace Innovation with Development of F-47 Fighter Jet

WASHINGTON, D.C. – Congressman Vince Fong (CA-20) is celebrating today’s announcement that the U.S. Air Force's most advanced fighter jet yet, the F-47, will be developed.

Vince Fong (CA-20). “This state-of-the-art aircraft will significantly strengthen our national defense and reinforce America’s dominance in military excellence. Today’s announcement is a bold step forward in advancing our technological edge and deterring our adversaries. Background:

Today, President Trump announced the U.S. Air Force is moving ahead with a sixth-generation fighter jet known as the F-47, with Boeing being awarded the contract to manufacture the new aircraft. California’s 20th District includes Edwards Air Force Base, Naval Air Weapons Station China Lake, NASA Armstrong Flight Research Center, Mojave Air and Space Port, and Naval Air Station Lemoore.
